We should have been in the air on our way home today. That possibility seems a long way off now.
This beautiful little building was originally the Post Office, so it fits well with my series of mailbox sketches. I like how it is constructed with a series of golden rectangles – very true to the Arts & Crafts style when it was built. The colours of the trees are wonderful at the moment.

I took some photos of this back in November, a lovely rather ornate building
One advantage of lockdown is being able to photograph buildings like this one without parked cars and passing traffic blocking the view!
Beautiful old building and rich colours
This is lovely.
Lovely bit of architecture!
It is! The Museum uses some of it and the front is ‘Stitch & Sew’ mending and alterations. The current Post Office is in a very dull building but they continue to provide an excellent service even in the present conditions, delivering despite some mailboxes being full of teddy bears!
Love the drawing. Have been reading your lockdown journal daily in the shadows 🙂 Thoroughly agree about the lack of parked cars being a plus image-wise.
We lurk mutually!
Oh! The colours are changing! Lovely picture.
