Keeled over

The ribs of an old boat at Ligar Bay. The bay is a beautiful natural harbour with a lagoon protected by a small sandy spit and lush vegetation along the low dunes. There is an abundance of driftwood, like many of the beaches here. Once the site of several baches (holiday homes often originally built from found materials on public land) there is now only one, to be removed by the council after the ‘demise of the current occupant’.

Very wet weather today, just like home, but it seems there is actually a heatwave happening there! An announcement today stated that New Zealand may be pronounced clear of Covid in 21 days time. Ireland appears to be heading in the right direction too, let’s hope it continues.
