I don’t have a particular interest in old vehicles but they are fun to paint. This old Bedford truck is in Collingwood.
We walked a route up on the hills above Puponga with wonderful views along Farewell Spit a narrow arc of sand that stretches out around the top of Golden Bay. The steep climbs and descents severely tested my knees and hips which seem to have deteriorated over the last 5 months, reminding me of the need to get back to the exercises my physio gave me.
Counting the days to our return trip home in 2 weeks. It will be a difficult farewell.

Great colours in this majestic old beast! There’s a lot going on in Collingwood!
But you’ll get a warm welcome back.
We look forward to your return! Hope you do, too…
Certainly looking forward to being home but perhaps not the journey. It will be tough call saying goodbye to a little girl who has known us for a quarter of her life!
The truck looks like it’s coming straight for me!
You’ve shown its warm personality
It is behind the Eco Tours office and I wonder if it may have been an older vehicle for the tour of the spit?
